Karla is a medical cannabis consultant and patient advocate at American Journal of Endocannabinoid Medicine (AJEM), a peer-reviewed journal that publishes the latest scientific and clinical findings on the endocannabinoid system and medical cannabis. She has over two years of experience in the cannabis industry, with multiple certificates from industry organizations such as Healer, Green Flower, Association of Cannabinoid Specialists, and Americans for Safe Access. She is passionate about advancing and mainstreaming medical cannabis as a valid treatment option for all patients who wish to use it without fear, judgment, or neglect of the Hippocratic Oath to "first do no harm."
As a medical cannabis consultant and patient advocate, Karla uses her personal experience as a patient consumer, her medical cannabis education, her experience volunteering in the industry, and her professional network to promote AJEM via her social media platforms. She recruits top researchers, physicians, and other industry stakeholders to increase the quality, readership, and membership of AJEM, and to facilitate the dissemination of evidence-based information and best practices on medical cannabis.
