About Me
Hi. I’m Ryan McKinley and I am a neuro-diverse, dyslexic adult on the Autism spectrum and a published author with 2 chapters in a scientific journal, a Speaker at the “2nd World Congress on Primary Healthcare and Medicare Summit” and the Founder and CEO of The Herbal Rubik’s Cube.
I grew up not knowing I was on the spectrum, and it wasn’t until my late 20's that I was formally diagnosed. I spent years misdiagnosed, struggling to learn, and on various medications with little to no benefit and many side effects.
I started The Herbal Rubik's Cube as a result of my personal experience transitioning from the chaotic cycle of pharmaceuticals to a more holistic approach. I saw firsthand the overwhelming lack of understanding and empirical data that patients could access to support a holistic approach to their medical conditions. Thus, the misinformation and my own health struggles led me to want to create the ultimate database of knowledge, resources, and guidance.
Founded in 2021, The Herbal Rubik's Cube (HRC) has developed a comprehensive proprietary system that provides education and scientific key metrics for the cannabis industry and its consumers, including patients, health care providers, scientific researchers, retailers, dispensaries, etc. HRC supports the practice of evidence-based cannabinoid medicine.
The challenge is that there is a tremendous amount of misinformation and misunderstanding of what works and what contributes to the efficacy of cannabis. Also, many stereotypes and stigmas still surround people who use medicinal cannabis, leading to discrimination and exclusion. However, the evidence is there!
HRC will be a source of patient and clinician education. I've spent the last few years analyzing over 2,00 peer-reviewed scientific articles and clinical studies on the benefits of various components of cannabis and designing the wireframe for the entire system.
Right now HRC is raising funds to do the final build of the system. In the meantime, we continue to promote the positivity of medical cannabis issues, fight to eliminate the stigma around this healing plant, and promote scientifically valid information about cannabis use.
For now, I'm just looking to connect with like-minded people in the cannabis industry while I'm working on launching HRC.see less
