About Me
Ananda Strategy is a consultancy serving clients in the cannabis and psychedelic medicine spaces. Ananda serves many of California's leading cannabis brands and retailers, helping guide their competitive licensing efforts, expansion strategy, regulatory compliance and M&A activity within California.
I serve as Chair of the Los Angeles Cannabis Chamber of Commerce, which aims to promote the common interests of cannabis businesses in Los Angeles County by advocating for sound public policy and facilitating business partnerships between cannabis operators. I also serve as Vice Chair of the California Cannabis Chamber of Commerce.
In addition, I am on the Board of Directors of the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws (NORML) in California, which for fifty years has been working to reform California's cannabis laws, led the opposition to the War on Drugs in California, and co-sponsored California’s pioneering medical cannabis law, Prop 215, in 1996.
I am also a Policy Advisor to the Working Group National Cannabis Social Equity Coalition, the only national cannabis Social Equity policy advisement organization solely made up of Black, Brown, & LGBTQ+ Social Equity Applicants and Owners in the United States.
In addition, I am an Equity Workshop Instructor at Success Centers, a San Francisco-based non-profit that helps communities impacted by inequality and the War on Drugs develop sustainable career and entrepreneurial paths in the cannabis industry.
I am also a Policy Advisor to the Cannabis Equity Retailers Association (CERA), a Los Angeles-based non-profit that advocates on behalf of social equity applicants participating in the City of Los Angeles' social equity retail licensing program.see less
